Seattle

Trip to see family (and tourist) in Seattle!

Snoqualmie Falls

It was quite a drive to the site and a bit of a trek down to the observation decks, but it resulted in a lovely view!

Space Needle

I'm glad I've gone to the top once, but next time I'm in Seattle I'm just going to visit the Space Needle gift shop, which was HUGE and pretty awesome.

Chihuly Garden and Glass

This was one of my favorite sites in Seattle. There's an indoor and garden portion of the museum, and the works are gorgeous. They also have a cool cafe, though we thought it was a bit expensive.

Museum of Flight

The Museum of Flight was neat and pretty extensive. I would have been fine going through the whole thing quickly, but my young nephews were quite entertained.

Fort Casey

Fort Casey was a lovely day trip! We had a nice picnic, the boys had fun flying kites and climbing over the fort, and Toren and I had a romantic walk along the beach. There's a cute lighthouse near the parking lot with a small gift shop, though it didn't have water or sunscreen. We forgot to bring sunscreen, which you an see below became a bit of an issue...

Pike Place Market

Pike Place is a classic Seattle site, and it was packed, despite the heat and pandemic (though everyone who wanted the vaccine had it, including us). We got some great food and pretty flowers, we and saw a lot of adorable art.

Museum of Pop Culture

My favorite tourist destination of the trip! It was eclectic, extensive, and had another great gift shop.

Seattle Airport

The whole city had great public art, and even the airport was nicely decorated!
